Love Endures all things

Dear Savitrie

"My daughter blames me for a lot of things in her life. She thinks I wasn't a good mother. I raised her and two other children on my own. I gave them food and shelter. I did not abuse them. I raised them in church and gave them a sense of God. I gave up my life for them. Yet, my daughter tells me she raised herself. I feel like it minimizes everything I have done. It puts a strain on our relationship and if I try and talk to my daughter, she just gets angry and starts yelling." - SW

"This is very hurtful for parents to hear a child or children make such accusations. Ask yourself if any of it is true. If there are any truths in the accusation ask her to forgive you. If there is no truth to it, know that you did the best you were able to do for them. You cannot change someone's false perspective. Just show her love and pray for your daughter. As a Christian we must love even the unlovable and I know you must love your daughter despite her accusations. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." - Savi
